While restoring your civil rights is important regardless of where you live, nowhere makes it more difficult than the state of Florida.  In most states you simply have to wait until a period after all sentance terms have been completed for a period of time.

 

In Florida you actually have to file for somehting called clemency.  Rights are never automatically restored without going through an official process.
