Opportunities

Start as a tenant, end up as a landlord

One way H.O.S.T. helps our clients is by turning the problem

How will I pay my rent?

into the solution:

I now collect rent to pay my bills.

This is only one option.  Explore others as well by clicking on the other links.

H.O.S.T. can't hire everybody, but we can still help you find our own job.  Sign up for our job seeker plan. There is a fee, but it's not due until we have you working.

Looking to rent an entire home and not just a room?

Already have a home?  Become one of our landlords.

H.O.S.T. is always looking for ways to increase our revenue so that we may help more offenders.  Why not join us and take advantage of some great opportunities, while helping offenders at the same time?

In addition to offering employment opportunities and our online store we have another great opportunity for you, whether you are an offender or just want to support offenders.

Offenders arriving at our program usually rent a room and pay monthly rent.  It's a great way to start, but who wants to pay rent forever?  H.O.S.T. also has long-term plans to move offenders from renting a room to renting out their own rooms.

Our program is constantly growing. We never have as much sex offender housing as is demanded.  So we offer the chance to anybody, whether that is one of our own clients, or even a non-offender who just sees this great opportunity while helping offenders at the same time.

The critical factor is available sex offender housing that meets sex offender residency restriction criteria.  H.O.S.T. can manage this part for you.  We will not only find an eligible location, but also contact the current owner to see if renting to sex offenders is something they may be interested in.  This is usually a bigger hurdle than finding the place because it really takes little more than a search engine to verify if the house is in an eligible location.  The real challenge is getting a landlord to see that not only is renting to sex offenders not a bad thing for the community but a good one.  It also gives them a financial incentive as well, because our rooms are always in demand.  We'll help explain these benefits to help them consider the benefits.

We'll do the hard part, you just have to express interest.  You provide the house location information  and we will verify if it is an eligible location. If it is, we'll present the details to you and you become the landlord.  You pay the monthly rent, but now you rent the entire home, not just a bedroom.

While the rent for the home is going to be higher than the rent for an individual room, you now have additional rooms.  You can rent them to our new clients that we will send to you.

H.O.S.T. does not just leave offenders in these houses to rent a room and never achieve success.  Getting offenders into a room is only step one. Financial security is our ultimate goal.  Contact us for more details.

If you already have a home and would be interested in using it to rent rooms to sex offenders contact us.  We'll have to verify if it meets sex offender residency restrictions or not, but if it does H.O.S.T. can help you cover your monthly rent/mortgage by placing paying tenants in your house.

No more hassle collecting rent from an individual every month.  We'll rent the rooms, you enjoy the ease of collecting a monthly rental amount with no hassle and you're helping sex offenders too.
